Lake Manyara National Park

Overview

One of the small parks enroute to Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. It’s a unique park in northern Tanzania due to its strategic location on the floor of the great rift valley. The valley escarpment wall gives the park a spectacular view. Popular for its migrating flamingo between lake Manyara and Natron. Over 2 million flamingo can be sported at a time.

What to Expect

Tree climbing lion, Underground water forest, Hot water spring with up to 70 degree Celsius, over 350 bird species, walking on the canopy over the underground forest and explore various birds species including the flamingos, canoeing and various wildebeest.

How to Get There

Lake Manyara National Park is 130 km west of Arusha and the drive takes around two and half hours. You can likewise take sanction flight to the park’s airstrip from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport.
