DAY 1

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by a Helam tours representative and transferred by private vehicle to your lodge located on the outskirts of Arusha. The remainder of your day is at leisure. Located on a working coffee plantation set in the foothills of Mount Meru, on the outskirts of the vibrant town of Arusha, Legendary Lodge is your gateway to the celebrated Northern Safari Circuit of Tanzania.

DAY 2

Early this morning you will be met by your private guide and transferred to Chem Chem Lodge located in between Manyara and Tarangire national Park in our customized safari vehicle, driving time is approximately 4-5 hours with cultural and amazing scenery viewing en route. Arrive at the Lodge in time for lunch.

Chem Chem Lodge is a sophisticated oasis with a calm energy that embodies the slow safari. It’s a space where an organic palette of color and texture reflects the natural beauty beyond. Here, handcrafted furniture and artworks adorn the spacious lodge and airy suites, and every element is tribute to the remarkable lands we call home. It’s equally a camp for celebrating the richness of Maasai culture, whether you choose to run with warriors or explore local village life.

In the afternoon there is time to relax before enjoying an exciting game drive by open roof four wheel drive vehicle. Huge herds of elephant, greater kudu, Impala and Zebra are all easily spotted whilst leopards lurk in the trees. Due to the camp’s secluded location, you are unlikely to see many vehicles as you venture out into the national park. As the sun fades enjoy a sundowner as you watch the game carry on with their daily activities. Return to camp to freshen up before dinner.

DAY 3:

This morning awaken to the sounds of the bush as a steaming hot cup of tea or coffee is served on your tent’s deck. The rest of the morning is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.
Return to your camp where your hosts will greet you with a refreshing drink and a well-deserved lunch.  In the afternoon you have time to relax on your private deck with a cool drink and gaze out to the waterhole and watch as the game lazily congregates in the shade to escape the midday sun. As the afternoon progresses you may like to return to the Tarangire on an afternoon game drive or enjoy activities on offer at the lodge. Return to your lodge to freshen up before meeting around the campfire for a pre-dinner drink as you discuss the day’s adventures.

DAY 4

After breakfast, this morning you will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon you will have a game drive before driving to the Ngorongoro Conservation where you will be staying at the Chic Ngorongoro Crater Lodge or Similar, subject to availability.

The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is located on the edge of the world-famous “World Heritage Site” of the Ngorongoro Crater. Surrounding the lodge, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area spans 8,300 square kilometers, stretching from the Rift Valley to the Serengeti. The design follows the Maasai mud-and-stick manyatta (homestead) style. The Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is without a doubt one of the most architecturally spectacular safari lodges in Africa.

DAY 5

Awaken early this morning to a warm cup of tea or coffee served on the veranda of your room. After a hearty breakfast, you can enjoy the activities on offer: Game drives with English speaking driver/guide in Ngorongoro crater and on the rim, and a Masai village visit and bush meals. Enjoy game viewing with the spectacular backdrop of the crater wall at every turn. This great caldera is home to around 30,000 animals with a high concentration of predators. Zebra and wildebeest account for almost half the animals with plenty of gazelle, buffalo, hartebeest, and warthog and bull elephants. On the lake in the middle of the crater, you may see thousands of flamingos fluttering and shimmering like a pink heat haze. Return to lodge/camp this afternoon with time for a hot shower before pre-dinner drinks by the campfire as you discuss the day’s adventures.

DAY 6

This morning proceed with a road transfer to the Serengeti depending on where the famous wildebeest migration is located through the Serengeti with game viewing en route. Accommodation is offered in Luxury Camps which are scattered around the Serengeti Plains.

Arrive at your camp with time to freshen up before lunch is served.
Perhaps one of the Serengeti’s best-kept secrets, wildlife lovers can enjoy their own private Serengeti in all parts of the park. Remotely situated Luxurious Camps with far fewer crowds and vehicles, enjoy having the game-rich plains to yourself. Witness large resident prides of lion and an abundance of predators, hyena clans, buffalo, elephant, hippo and herds of plains game. This secluded areas also has an annual Wildebeest migration. This afternoon get a glimpse of why the Serengeti is an icon of Africa on an afternoon game drive before returning to camp to freshen up before dinner.

DAY 7

Today you may choose to either partake in a full-day game drive into the heart of the Serengeti with a picnic lunch or remain close to camp with morning and afternoon game drives.

In the evening return to camp and climb to the top of the kopje or immerse yourself to stunning 360 degree views of the Serengeti plains. Relax with your preferred drink as you watch the setting sun paint the Serengeti with pinks, oranges and reds.

DAY 8

Enjoy a leisurely morning relaxing at camp or venture out early on one last morning game drive before transferring to Arusha by road or to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar via Arusha. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro connect with your onward flight.
